We have been finding and placing consultants for clients for over 20 years and have Australia's largest data base of consultants. We also have access to consultants in Asia through our network of consultants there as well as associate consultant brokers in a number of countries. Our length of time in this market means that we have worked out who the reliable providers are and who excels in what.
We also recruit permanent HR and HRD professionals from our extensive network.

Our unique insight into the Human Resource field places us in a strong position to recruit Human Resource and Training Managers as well as practicing professionals.
We do not recruit in other fields - we stick to our specialty.
Sourcing Consultants (including Training Brokering)
We find consultants for clients. We have a special interest in organisational change, performance management, organisational development and facilitator development. We tend to work at the premium end of the consulting spectrum and not at the technical end.
Speaker Procurement
We have a range of talented speakers in our network that we have placed over the years. If you require experienced, relevant and intriguing speakers we can be of assistance in Australia and throughout Asia.
Venue Procurement
We also find country conference venues for clients in Victoria. Over the years we used a number of leading facilities and able to match their particular features with the requirements of residential training or planning assignments.

Our Focus
Polson & Co are specialist Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development recruiters. We do not take on any assignments outside our HR niche.
Why Use Us?
Our Principal, Reg Polson, former Employee Services Manager for Mobil Oil, has been in the recruitment field for well over 20 years. In the course of our HR Brokering business, we come into contact with a large number of HR Professionals and have a good idea on who is leading best practice in the field and who is open to a change.
Our network is well developed and is a fertile source to which we can advertise any opportunities. The 800 or so consultants registered with us are a rich source of talent in that some of them seek to return to internal roles where they can be part of a team. They are also very helpful in telling their clients about roles available through Polson & Co. The network enables us to be fast and still remain price competitive.
We are very hard to beat when it comes to reference checking because in the majority of cases, we are likely to know someone who knows the candidate and can get their perspective (with permission) on the person's track record.
The Regional Connection
With our increasing network in Asia & the Middle East we are in a good position to find local candidates in a range of cities. As Australian HR is well developed and many Australians are adventurous, we are an ideal source of Australian based candidates to be placed in Asia.

| Networking Opportunities |
|
To stay current and leverage quickly off what others have already done, it is critical to be well networked. Polson & Co offer a number of network activities which both inform and link people.
For Internal Professionals
The Polson Network Groups are limited to 10 people to ensure dialogue remains the focus. We meet over dinner with a specific topic per evening to be discussed - often with a thought leader providing an expert perspective. To build a community of practice, groups reform every January and July for a 6 month period. Thus a most supportive network develops among practicing HR and HRD professionals.
Membership is not available to consultants. We also only want one person per organisation to encourage openess and confidentiality.
We select private dining rooms, good food and wine to ensure a that each evening is enjoyble and conducive to relationship building.
Consultants
Our monthly eNewsletter provides a range of opportunities for consultants to network and build their professional expertise.
Pulse
These 2 hour morning workshops are highly content focused. We want to offer participants a quick insight into some of the latest developments, or areas identified by our surveys of what is most relevant to those charged with developing human capital.
The Pulse sessions start with coffee at 8am sharp, with the workshop itself commencing 10 minutes later. We finish at 10am.

Polson & Co supports a number of community services.
This is primarily done by publicising their cause, or linking them with consultants who want to make a pro-bono contribution of their time and expertise. e.g. Ian Shrives facilitated a planning meeting for the Australian Employment Covenant when delegations from Government, Private Enterprise and the Aboriginal Community met to plan a development program for young Aboriginal people.

Their mission is to train 50,000 young Aboriginal people to be job ready to take on 50,000 jobs to be offered by progressive Australian companies. They have strong leaders such as Noel Pearson and Andrew Forrest.

Polson & Co have a particular interest in providing consultants in the area of leadership, communication and self-development to the communities that charities serve.
